AppExpire Terms of Service
These Terms of Service are provided in 8 languages. For users in Korea, the Korean version is the legally controlling text; other language versions are provided for convenience. If a translation conflicts with the Korean version, the Korean version governs.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AppExpire ("the App" or "the Service"). They form a legally binding agreement between independent developer kukuDev ("the Operator") and you ("User"). By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.
1. About the Service
AppExpire is an Android app that lets you set a cleanup date for apps you only need temporarily, notifies you on that date, and lets you confirm the uninstall yourself.
- Reservation: You select one or more installed apps and set a cleanup date/time and an optional group name.
- Reminder: At the set time, a local notification on your device tells you. No push server is involved.
- Uninstall confirmation: From the cleanup list opened via the notification, you must open and confirm Android's own system uninstall dialog for each app before it is actually removed. The Service never automatically uninstalls another app without your confirmation.
- Extend or keep: You may extend a reservation's date, or cancel it to keep the app.
- Limits of reminders: Android battery optimization (Doze), disabled notification permission, device reboot, or your own cancellation can delay or prevent the reminder. Second-precise delivery is not guaranteed.
The Service is free and may show ads; it also offers an in-app purchase (Pro) that removes ads and reservation limits.
2. Acceptance and age
2.1. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. The target age for this App is TODO: to be set after the Google Play content rating questionnaire. You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2.2. If a minor uses the Service, certain features such as payment may require a legal guardian's consent (see Section 8). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Account and user data
3.1. No account: The App has no sign-up or login, and no separate account or cross-device reservation sync.
3.2. Your responsibility for on-device data: Your reservation list, group names, and settings are stored only on your device. If your device is lost, reset, or the App/its data is removed, this information is lost, and the Operator cannot back it up or restore it for you. See the Privacy Policy for details.
3.3. Pro entitlement vs. on-device data: Your Pro purchase entitlement stays with your Google Play account and can be restored via "Restore purchase" after reinstalling. On-device data such as your reservation list and group names is not restored.
4. Installed-app information and the uninstall process
4.1. The App reads the list of launchable installed apps so you can pick which to reserve; this list is used only for the picker and to check reservation status.
4.2. The uninstall screen the Service opens is Android's own system uninstall-confirmation dialog. You decide there whether the app is actually removed; the Service has no power to uninstall another app without your explicit confirmation. If you cancel from that screen, the app stays in your cleanup list.
4.3. Even for a batch reservation of several apps, each may require its own system confirmation. If an app has already been removed another way (e.g., via system settings), the Service detects this and marks the reservation complete.
5. Free plan and its limits
5.1. Free users may reserve up to 10 apps at the same time. A free reservation's date/time must be no more than 20 days after the moment it is saved (created or edited). Exactly 20 days later is allowed.
5.2. You may reset a reservation's date to extend it another 20 days from that new moment; there is no limit on how many times you can do this or on cumulative duration.
5.3. If your choice would exceed a limit (e.g., an 11th app, or a date beyond 20 days), the Service tells you before saving and offers the Pro purchase. It never silently saves only part of your selection.
5.4. Even with 10 active free reservations, you can still edit, extend, or cancel existing reservations.
6. Advertising
6.1. The Service may show banner and interstitial ads to free users (no rewarded ads). Pro purchasers see no ads. See Section 4 of the Privacy Policy for how ad-related data is processed.
6.2. You acknowledge and agree that ads may be shown as part of the free Service. Ad consent (personalized vs. non-personalized, etc.) is separate from agreeing to these Terms and is managed as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Pro purchase (in-app purchase)
7.1. The product: AppExpire Pro is a non-consumable, one-time purchase via Google Play Billing (product ID appexpire_pro). The price in Korea is KRW 20,000 (including 10% VAT); other countries see the local price Google Play displays. It is not a subscription; there is no recurring charge.
7.2. Benefits: A single product that removes ads, the 10-app reservation limit, and the 20-day scheduling limit.
7.3. Payment and verification: Payment is processed by Google Play; the Operator does not directly collect your card or payment-method details. The App sends the product ID, purchase token, and an App Check token to the Operator's verification server, which checks purchase validity against the Google Play Developer API. See Section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
7.4. Once confirmed, ads and both limits are removed while your existing reservations are kept. Pending status, user cancellation, network errors, or verification failure are not treated as a completed purchase. A temporary verification failure alone does not revoke an already-confirmed Pro entitlement.
7.5. Restore: "Restore purchase" recovers your Pro entitlement without a separate login, as long as you're signed into the same Google Play account used to buy it.
8. Withdrawal, refunds, and purchases by minors
8.1. Cancellations and refunds are generally handled under Google Play's refund policy and process.
8.2. Withdrawal for digital content: A Pro purchase is digital content whose benefits (ad removal, limit removal) take effect immediately on payment. Within the scope permitted by applicable law (including Korea's Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce), your right of withdrawal may be limited once you have consented to immediate provision and the benefit has actually been provided. This is disclosed to you in advance through these Terms and the purchase screen. These Terms do not eliminate any withdrawal or refund right guaranteed by applicable law, and this is not a blanket "no refunds" policy.
8.3. Purchases by minors: If a minor makes a purchase without a legal guardian's consent, the minor or their legal guardian may request cancellation under applicable law (e.g., the Korean Civil Act). Requests can be submitted to the contact in Section 17 and may be handled together with Google Play's refund process.
8.4. If your Pro entitlement is revoked (e.g., due to a refund), your existing reservations are not automatically deleted. The free-plan limits apply going forward to new reservations and date changes.
9. Use of the Service
9.1. Permitted use: The Operator grants you a non-exclusive right to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes under these Terms.
9.2. Prohibited conduct: You must not, and may lose access to the Service if you:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App (except as permitted by law)
- Make abnormal calls to the verification server/API, abuse automation, bypass rate limits, or circumvent security
- Use the Service unlawfully or in a way that infringes others' rights
- Automate a way around the Service's uninstall-confirmation process to remove apps on another device or account without that user's confirmation
10. Third-party services
10.1. The Service integrates with third-party services including Google Play, Google AdMob (and mediation partners Liftoff Monetize, AppLovin, and Unity Ads), and Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Functions). If you use features governed by these third-party services, their own terms and privacy policies also apply. The Operator is not responsible for outages or policy changes of these third-party services themselves.
10.2. The Service may contain links to other websites or services. The Operator does not control and is not responsible for such third-party content or practices.
11. Privacy Policy
See the Privacy Policy for how your information is collected, used, and disclosed. By using the Service you agree that necessary information is processed as described there. Consent for optional analytics sharing and personalized ads is managed separately, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." The Operator makes no warranty, express or implied, including that reminders will always arrive at the exact time, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that it will be error-free. You acknowledge that Android system constraints (battery optimization, permissions, reboots) may delay or prevent reminders. You are responsible for confirming yourself whether an app you intended to clean up was actually removed.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service. The Operator's total liability will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the Service. This does not limit liability for the Operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator (kukuDev) from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights. This clause does not affect rights guaranteed to you under applicable consumer protection law.
15. Changes, suspension, and termination of the Service
15.1. The Operator may change or discontinue all or part of the Service, with reasonable advance notice for material changes.
15.2. The Operator may restrict or suspend your access for a reasonable cause, including breach of these Terms.
15.3. Uninstalling the App removes on-device reservation and settings data. Your Pro entitlement stays with your Google Play account and can be reinstalled/restored.
16. Changes to these Terms
The Operator may amend or replace these Terms. Material changes unfavorable to you will be announced at least 30 days before they take effect, via an in-app notice or similar reasonable means. Minor changes may be announced with a shorter notice period. If you do not agree to changed Terms, you may stop using the Service and uninstall the App before they take effect.
17. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will first be addressed through discussion between the Operator and the User; Korean users may also seek help from the Korea Consumer Agency (www.kca.go.kr) and the Content Dispute Resolution Committee (www.kcdrc.kr). If litigation is necessary, jurisdiction follows applicable civil procedure law; these Terms do not impose an exclusive venue unfair to consumers.
18. General provisions
18.1. Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
18.2. Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without the Operator's prior written consent. The Operator may transfer its rights or obligations in connection with a business transfer.
18.3. Entire agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Operator regarding the Service and supersede all prior oral or written communications.
